Numerous concerns still remain, however, because of their permanent nature. Thus, the concept of bioresorbable temporary scaffolds composed of biocompatible materials has emerged as a potential alternative to permanent metal stents. Here we focus on metal alloys & discuss preclinical and clinical experiences with bioresorbable metal scaffolds. Copyright © 2014.
